| Agricultural estate Font de Mai The Font de Mai is an old agricultural property situated at the foot of Garlaban hill, in the area around Aubagne. Its approximate hundred acres of agricultural land located in the valley is comprised of a farm and its outbuildings, terraces and forested hills. The agglomeration community of the territory of Aubagne and l'Etoile acquired it in 1999 to protect the site. Between Aubagne and Éoures, the estate of the Font de Mai is a new point of departure towards hiking, notably the “Marcel Pagnol” tour, and shelters an “eco-museum” dedicated to the environment, geology, fauna, flora and traditional agriculture. In 2008, the Font de Mai became a member of the EVEIL initiative for responsible and solidarity tourism with the territory of Aubagne and l'Etoile (part of Agenda 21). |
